A Painting Exhibition with the title "A Tour to a Harmonious World: Up to Nepal" was inaugurated amidst a ceremony at the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing by His Excellency Tanka Prasad Karki, Ambas
sador of Nepal, and His Excellency Chen Haosu, Chairman of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC). The four-day Exhibition is being jointly organized by the Embassy and CPAFFC. Ambassador Mr. Karki, in his inaugural address, said "a painting is not just the combination of refined skill, substances and a canvass, but more so a mixture of feelings which the artist shares with the object... The twelve distinguished artists representing the Institute of Fine Art Creation of CPAFFC visited Nepal, saw it through their artistic eyes, and reflected a living reality of the Nepalese Society. The natural beauty and cultural heritages which appear in their works show how humbly and magnificently Nepal, the Nepalese society and people present themselves to the rest of the world. They have successfully introduced the marvels and glory found in the Nepalese land to all art enthusiasts of China and around the world. Not only this, these arts also spread a message of world harmony and peace."
