Job Description

Applies basic knowledge of engineering and configuation management principles and practices to assigned tasks in the design and release of products and subsystems through the product life cycle. Product life cycle includes the initial concept through production intent designs and customer support. Assists in creating design specifications considering application, cost, weight, performance, product life, manufacture, assembly and service. Verifies design using analysis, interperates results, drives decissions and assesses risk. Works with other engineering disciplines and cross-functional disciplines to resolve product issues. Evaluates customer needs and aligns requirements with identified customer expectations.  Applies engineering and/or scientific skills to technical processes with support from experienced team members.Participates as a team member, helps define/refine methods and actively contributes towards team goals. Carries out engineering responsibilities using accepted methods and practical experience.Demonstrates good understanding and applies knowledge of an engineering discipline.Continues to develop capability to create engineering solutions through training and experience BE  in Mechanical / Production / Automobile.

Minimal (2-4 yrs) relevant work experience desired, such as internship, co-op, or other pertinent work experience.

Core Job Responsibilities:

To do  world wide Draughting using Pro/E  to support new product introduction and product changeTo do  world wide Checking EJRs, Pro/E Models & Assemblies  and Drawing  to support new product introduction and product changeEnsure the Quality of Drawings and Models as per standard procedure. Ensure the Delivery of Drawings by Right First Time and Required by Dates.

Required Skills and knowledge:

Experience in Pro/e Wildfire2/4Knowledge of Engineering change processKnowledge of Quality Check &  Quality Assurance practices Knowledge of Matrix or other PLM software would be an advantageKnowledge of Cummins release process and product definition would be an advantageGood verbal and written communication and presentation skills
